10 Year Anti-Slip Warranty
GripDeck® factory-applied anti-slip technology is backed by our 10 Year Anti-Slip Warranty, giving customers confidence that their anti-slip surface has been designed for long-term performance.
GripDeck® Anti-Slip Technology Warranty
GripDeck® has been manufacturing anti-slip decking and inserts for more than 25 years. We are confident in the performance of our specialist anti-slip technology and therefore provide a 10 Year Anti-Slip Warranty on qualifying factory-applied GripDeck® anti-slip products.
Under normal pedestrian use, GripDeck® anti-slip technology is expected to remain effective for 20 years or more. The 10 Year Warranty provides reassurance that the anti-slip technology has been designed and manufactured to deliver long-term performance.
What Is GripDeck® Anti-Slip Technology?
GripDeck® anti-slip technology combines specialist resin with highly durable anti-slip aggregate. The anti-slip material is applied into timber decking grooves under controlled manufacturing conditions to create a long-lasting slip-resistant surface.
Specialist Resin
Designed for long-term durability and resistance to failure in external decking environments.
Durable Aggregate
Hard-wearing anti-slip aggregate designed to help maintain grip under pedestrian traffic.
Factory Applied
Applied under controlled factory conditions for consistent quality, insert depth and finish.
What Does the 10 Year Warranty Cover?
The warranty covers failure of GripDeck® anti-slip technology where qualifying products have been correctly installed, maintained and used under normal pedestrian traffic conditions.
Excessive Aggregate Wear
Excessive wear of the anti-slip aggregate below the surrounding timber or surface level.
Resin De-Bonding
De-bonding of the resin from the groove or substrate in which it is installed.
Aggregate Loss
Significant loss or de-bonding of the anti-slip aggregate from the resin surface.
What Is Not Covered?
As with all product warranties, certain exclusions apply. These help ensure the warranty reflects genuine product performance rather than external factors such as installation issues, misuse or timber movement.
| Not Covered | Reason |
|---|---|
| Timber failure | The warranty applies to GripDeck® anti-slip technology, not the timber itself. |
| Incorrect installation | Failure caused by installation errors or unsuitable fixing methods is excluded. |
| Poor maintenance | Decking should be maintained appropriately and kept clear of heavy contamination. |
| Vehicular traffic | The warranty applies to normal pedestrian use only. |
| Impact damage or vandalism | External damage caused after supply cannot be covered. |
| Unsuitable applications | Applications involving excessive timber movement, such as green oak, may be excluded. |
| Coloured Aggregates | Excessive wear to coloured aggregates, including pigmented quartz finishes, is not covered. These decorative aggregates are not as hard wearing as standard Bauxite or Dynagrip aggregates used in GripDeck® anti-slip products. |
| Green or Fresh Sawn Oak | Natural drying, shrinkage and movement of Green/Fresh Sawn Oak can place excessive stresses on anti-slip inserts and is excluded from the warranty. |
| Massaranduba Timber | The extremely dense nature and polished surface characteristics of Massaranduba can make long-term resin bonding more difficult and is therefore excluded from the warranty. |
Why Our Warranty Matters
Many anti-slip products provide grip when new, but long-term performance depends on product quality, resin selection, aggregate durability, manufacturing control and suitable installation.
GripDeck® products are supported by experience, independent slip resistance testing and warranty-backed anti-slip technology, helping customers specify decking with confidence.
Independent Testing
GripDeck® products are tested for wet and dry slip resistance performance.
