Sustainability ethical anti slip decking

GripDeck® & Sustainability

At GripDeck® we only use ethical and sustainably sourced timber for our original and top-rated anti-slip decking. The long-term benefit and care of the environment is at the heart of everything we do. Creating sustainable, high quality products starts with purchasing timber that is sourced from sustainable forests.

All our timber is available FSC® certified and ensures the certification of forests to credible, independently verified standards of responsible forest management. The certification scheme operates a chain of custody process that traces material through the supply chain from the forest to the end-user. FSC® certification also promotes environmentally appropriate, socially beneficial, and economically viable management of the world’s forests.

Timber CO2 Certificate

Using wood as an alternative to other building materials helps to reduce the human impact on climate change. Material choices, design solutions and production processes must be adapted to face this most major of challenges in the construction sector and beyond. Greater use of wood-based products and wooden structures is a significant part of the solution, thanks to the material’s carbon absorption and substitution effects.

The forest gains its vitality from the sun. Through photosynthesis, solar energy is absorbed and reacts with carbon dioxide to produce nutrients for the growing trees.
The timber contains carbon that has been absorbed by the trees in the form of carbon dioxide: wood captures CO².

At GripDeck® we trade in FSC® certificated, responsibly sourced wood, preserving sustainably managed forests that are carbon neutral.

Responsibly sourced timber is the most environmentally friendly construction and production material compared to less sustainable materials such as steel or concrete.

Beautiful, strong, sustainable. Wood is good.
