GripDeck® supplies anti-slip decking and safety products throughout the UK. As a manufacturer, we do not operate our own delivery vehicles and instead use carefully selected national delivery partners to ensure your order arrives safely and efficiently.

How We Deliver Your Order
GripDeck® is a manufacturer rather than a Builders Merchant. Our products are priced on a collection from our factory basis, with delivery charged separately if required.
Pallet Track
Most decking, timber and large orders are delivered using the Pallet Track nationwide pallet distribution network.
Parcelforce
Smaller orders such as RetroGrip® inserts, fixings, accessories and safety matting are often dispatched using Parcelforce.
Dedicated Vehicles
Dedicated transport and specialist vehicles can be arranged where required for larger or time-critical deliveries.
Standard Pallet Deliveries
Most decking orders are delivered on a curtain-sided articulated or rigid lorry using the Pallet Track network.
Standard Pallet Track deliveries are kerbside deliveries only. The delivery driver is not resposible for unloading on arrival.
Your Responsibilities
Please ensure suitable arrangements have been made before delivery.
- A responsible person must be present to receive the delivery.
- You must provide sufficient labour to unload long decking boards safely.
- Alternatively, suitable mechanical unloading equipment should be available where appropriate.
- The driver will position the vehicle where it is safe to do so but cannot assist with carrying materials onto site.
Tail Lift Deliveries
Where decking boards are supplied in lengths of 1.2 metres or less, Pallet Track can usually unload the pallet using a tail lift and pallet truck.
Orders containing decking longer than 1.2 metres cannot normally be unloaded using a tail lift and will require customer unloading.
HIAB & Specialist Deliveries
For projects where manual unloading is not practical, we can arrange:
HIAB Delivery
Vehicles fitted with crane offloading equipment can often be arranged where suitable site access is available.
Dedicated Vehicles
Dedicated transport is available for larger projects, awkward delivery locations or where specific delivery times are required.
These services are available at additional cost. Please let us know your requirements when requesting your quotation.
Delivery Charges
Delivery charges vary depending upon:
- Delivery postcode
- Order size and weight
- Length of materials
- Delivery method required
- Vehicle type
We always aim to obtain the most competitive delivery price available and only charge the amount quoted by the delivery company.
Delivery costs for goods purchased through our online store are shown at cheeckout.
Collection from Our Factory
All GripDeck® products are priced on a collection from our factory basis. Delivery is offered as an additional service for customers who require it.
Customers are always welcome to collect their order directly from our manufacturing facility in Wormingford, near Colchester, Essex. Collection can often be arranged by appointment once your order has been completed and is ready for dispatch.
Collect Yourself
You are welcome to collect your order using your own vehicle or trailer, provided it is suitable for the size and weight of the materials being collected.
Arrange Your Own Carrier
If you have access to your own transport company or courier, you are welcome to arrange collection on your behalf. We will happily assist with loading at our factory.
Collection by Appointment
To ensure your order is prepared and ready, all collections must be arranged in advance with our sales team. We will confirm when your goods are available and provide collection instructions.

Please contact us before travelling to arrange a collection time. This helps us ensure your order has been fully prepared, loaded and all paperwork is ready when you arrive.
Delivery Dates
We work closely with our delivery partners to achieve your preferred delivery date wherever possible.
Although deliveries usually arrive on the agreed day, delays can occasionally occur due to traffic, weather, vehicle breakdowns or disruptions within the pallet distribution network. These situations are unfortunately outside GripDeck®'s control.
For this reason we strongly recommend requesting delivery at least a couple of working days before your materials are required on site.
Failed Deliveries
Please ensure somebody is available to accept your delivery.
If a delivery cannot be completed because nobody is present or the goods cannot be unloaded, the carrier may apply a redelivery charge.
In many cases, failed deliveries result in a redelivery charge of up to 50% of the original delivery cost, which must unfortunately be passed on by the carrier.
