Summer is finally here
This week it looks like summer has finally arrived in Essex!! As a nation we love spending time in our gardens, whether that is relaxing with a cool drink, entertaining friends and family, playing with the children, gardening or tending to our vegetable plots. We all love the long summer days.
So now is the time to dig out your outdoor furniture, uncover the BBQ, rinse out the hot tub and clean the decking. We would recommend cleaning your deck before use by brushing with a stiff bristle brush to remove the dirt, algae and any dead leaves. If the deck needs a more thorough clean then using a jet spray will not harm the timber or the anti-slip inserts. We would always advise you following the guidelines from the Timber Decking & Cladding Association. TDCA Deck Maintenance Guide.
If you are searching for ideas or looking for inspiration for your garden take a look at our garden ideas page, scroll through Houzz or browse any of the many wonderful gardening magazines available.
Holiday season is also soon upon us. Children will have broken up for the school holidays and we will all be planning our vacations or staycations. Even our anti-slip decking is off to warmer climates. Some of our softwood anti-slip decking is heading across Europe to reach its final destination of Gibraltar, where it will be keeping people safe underfoot both now and long after the summer season is over.
On a cooler note and on the other side of the world, where the winter has already arrived, our Stadia Strips are going to be put to good use. Over in Auckland, New Zealand where the weather is cold and damp, our stadia strips are keeping everyone up on their feet. More of our 12mm and 23mm Stadia Strips are currently being shipped over to a regular customer. They are the perfect solution for their environment as they are robust and heavy duty.
