Read GuideFrequently Asked Questions
Where can GripDeck® products be used?
GripDeck® products can be used on decking, steps, ramps, bridges, walkways, jetties, marinas, platforms, terraces, balconies, visitor attractions, gardens and commercial access routes.
What is the best product for existing slippery decking?
For suitable grooved timber decking, RetroGrip® inserts are often a good retrofit solution. If the decking is damaged or unsuitable, replacement anti-slip decking may be better.
What product is best for bridges and boardwalks?
GripDeck® anti-slip decking is commonly used on bridges and boardwalks. Where pedestrian traffic runs along the length of the board, 3 inserts may be recommended.
Can GripDeck® help choose the right product?
Yes. Send photos, measurements and details of your application and GripDeck® can advise on suitable anti-slip products.
What is the best anti-slip product for ramps?
The best anti-slip product for ramps depends on the surface, gradient, exposure and traffic level. GripDeck® anti-slip decking, GRP products, RetroGrip® Tread and safety matting may all be suitable depending on the project.
Can GripDeck® products be used in public access areas?
Yes. GripDeck® products are widely used on public access routes including visitor attractions, bridges, boardwalks, marinas, heritage sites, parks, schools and commercial walkways.
Do you offer products for smooth decking with no grooves?
Yes. If standard RetroGrip® inserts cannot be used because the decking is smooth or flat, surface-mounted products such as RetroGrip® Tread or GRP decking strips may be more suitable.
