Request a RetroGrip® Sample Pack
Before ordering RetroGrip®, check that the inserts fit your existing grooved timber decking. A sample pack is the easiest way to confirm the fit, view the anti-slip surface and choose your preferred finish.
Will RetroGrip® Fit My Decking?
RetroGrip® is designed to fit suitable decking grooves approximately 6mm wide × 6mm deep. Groove sizes and profiles can vary, so we recommend checking with a sample before ordering larger quantities.
Correct Fit
The insert should sit securely in the groove with both aluminium wings resting flat against the surface of the decking board.
Incorrect Fit
RetroGrip® is not suitable if the wings sit above the decking, the insert rocks from side to side or it cannot sit fully within the groove.
Check the Decking
RetroGrip® should not be fitted to rotten, loose, unstable or badly damaged boards. Any structural repairs should be completed first.

What Happens Next?
1. We Send Your Samples
Your RetroGrip® sample pieces will be sent to the delivery address entered on the form.
2. Check the Fit
Place the sample into your decking groove and make sure it sits flat without rocking from side to side.
3. Order Your Inserts
Once you have confirmed that RetroGrip® is suitable, you can order full-length inserts online or request a quotation.
Installing the Full-Length RetroGrip® Inserts
Once you have confirmed the fit and received your full-length RetroGrip® inserts, please read the complete installation instructions before starting work.
The decking and grooves must be clean and dry. RetroGrip® is normally installed using a suitable adhesive, with additional screw fixing recommended for commercial, public-access, high-traffic or uneven decking areas.
