GripDeck® Hardwood Decking

28mm x 145mm Grooved Balau (Bangkirai) Hardwood Decking

Grooved Balau Hardwood Decking is a premium, versatile and durable choice for elevating your outdoor space. Crafted from the renowned hardwood species Bangkirai (Balau), these boards are designed to transform your deck into a timeless and elegant outdoor area.

The grooved profile adds a refined hardwood look while also helping to enhance underfoot grip, making this decking suitable for terraces, balconies, garden decks, commercial walkways and steps.

Bangkirai timber is revered for its robustness and long service life. Boards are supplied in a beautiful light brown tone that will gracefully weather to a natural silver grey as they are exposed to the elements, giving your deck additional character over time.

28mm x 145mm hardwood boards Bangkirai (Balau) species Grooved profile for added grip Optional anti-slip inserts available Ideal for domestic & commercial decks

For projects where safety is a priority, anti-slip inserts can be specified to provide an additional layer of protection, reducing the risk of slips and falls. These anti-slip inserts are made to order and typically require a 1–2 week lead time.

If you require a fully anti-slip solution, please see our dedicated anti-slip version of this decking board or contact us for advice.

Elevate your outdoor living space with the natural allure and longevity of Grooved Balau Hardwood Decking. Invest in the beauty and durability of Bangkirai timber and create a space that will be enjoyed for many years.

Natural colour variation: Hardwood decking offers a natural and elegant aesthetic, with each board showcasing its own unique character. Within the same deck you may see a mix of deeper browns, warm reds, golden tones and softer greys. This variation is a natural feature of hardwood and ensures that no two decks are exactly alike.

🚚 Delivery ▼

Delivery cost is worked out at checkout and is based on your postcode.

We will contact you to organise a suitable delivery day for your order. Someone will need to be there to accept and unload the delivery. Please note that drivers will not unload the delivery. Unloading is the responsibility of the customer. You will need suitable manpower or a forklift and must be able to unload your delivery within 20 minutes of the lorry arriving.

  1. Most vehicles are 18 tonne trucks (similar to a refuse truck). Please ensure access roads are suitable and free from low branches, low bridges or planned roadworks.
  2. If the delivery address can only accept smaller vehicles, you must inform GripDeck in advance via email. Smaller vehicles are subject to availability and may incur a surcharge.
  3. For named houses, please provide clear directions or landmarks in the order comments.
  4. Standard delivery window is 9am–5pm, Monday–Friday. Please ensure someone is available to accept the goods.
  5. All deliveries are kerbside only. As hardwood decking is too long to pallet truck off the lorry, you will need equipment or labour to offload by hand.
  6. Drivers are not obliged to handball the goods and are generally not insured to have members of the public on the vehicle bed.
  7. Drivers are allocated 20 minutes per delivery. If unloading exceeds this, a redelivery charge may apply.

Please contact us before ordering if any of the above is likely to be an issue. We may be able to arrange alternative delivery methods such as Hi-Ab or dedicated vehicles at an extra cost.

Currently we cannot deliver via the online shop to: Highlands and Islands, Offshore, Northern Ireland, Guernsey and Jersey.

For delivery to the following postcodes please contact us direct: AB, BT, DD, HS, KA, KW, IV, PA20+, PH, PO30–41, TR, IM, ZE.
