Smooth Balau Hardwood Decking is a premium, durable and elegant choice for transforming outdoor spaces. Manufactured from the renowned hardwood species Bangkirai (Balau), these boards are designed to create a timeless, high-end deck that performs for years.
The smooth profile delivers a clean, contemporary appearance that is ideal for modern terraces, balconies, garden decks and commercial spaces where a sleek finish is desired.
Bangkirai hardwood is known for its exceptional strength and durability. Boards are supplied in a beautiful light brown tone that will gradually weather to a natural silver grey when exposed to the elements, bringing character and richness to your deck over time.
Elevate your outdoor living space with the natural allure and long-term performance of Smooth Balau Hardwood Decking – a hardwood solution that combines beauty, strength and longevity.
Natural colour variation: Hardwood decking offers a natural and elegant aesthetic, with each board showcasing its own unique character. Within the same deck you may see a mix of deeper browns, warm reds, golden tones and softer greys. This variation is a natural feature of hardwood and ensures that no two decks are exactly alike.

We will contact you to organise a suitable delivery day for your order. Someone will need to be there to accept and unload the delivery. Please note that drivers will not unload the delivery. Unloading is the responsibility of the customer. You will need suitable manpower or a forklift and must be able to unload your delivery within 20 minutes of the lorry arriving.
- Most vehicles are 18 tonne trucks (similar to a refuse truck). Please ensure access roads are suitable and free from low branches, low bridges or planned roadworks.
- If the delivery address can only accept smaller vehicles, you must inform GripDeck in advance via email. Smaller vehicles are subject to availability and may incur a surcharge.
- For named houses, please provide clear directions or landmarks in the order comments.
- Standard delivery window is 9am–5pm, Monday–Friday. Please ensure someone is available to accept the goods.
- All deliveries are kerbside only. As hardwood decking is too long to pallet truck off the lorry, you will need equipment or labour to offload by hand.
- Drivers are not obliged to handball the goods and are generally not insured to have members of the public on the vehicle bed.
- Drivers are allocated 20 minutes per delivery. If unloading exceeds this, a redelivery charge may apply.
Please contact us before ordering if any of the above is likely to be an issue. We may be able to arrange alternative delivery methods such as Hi-Ab or dedicated vehicles at an extra cost.
Currently we cannot deliver via the online shop to: Highlands and Islands, Offshore, Northern Ireland, Guernsey and Jersey.
For delivery to the following postcodes please contact us direct: AB, BT, DD, HS, KA, KW, IV, PA20+, PH, PO30–41, TR, IM, ZE.
