TDCA 2020 Charity Calendar

TDCA 2020 Charity Calendar

To showcase the beautiful, versatile and sustainable material that timber is, The Timber Decking & Cladding Association ran a competition amongst its members asking them to provide an inspirational photograph of a recent timber decking project.

GripDeck is proud to announce that we have been chosen to feature in the calendar. You will find us representing the month of April, where we are showcasing a magnificent walkway on the Isle of Man. Access was extremely limited, so our European Redwood anti-slip decking had to be helicoptered into position.

The competition judge Peter Wilson, in his comments said ‘Remote, difficult-to-access landscapes has long made timber the construction material of choice for pedestrian bridges and pathways. In this instance, the use of balustrading and anti-slip decking made from European Redwood is a durable, low-maintenance solution to the construction of an extensive walkway that has been tailored on-site to the challenging topography’.

The calendar will be available to purchase from September onwards with the proceeds being donated to Cancer Research UK.

The Timber Decking and Cladding Association (TDCA) are the advisory body for timber decking and cladding in the UK. They are an independent and a non-profit organisation.

They offer a vast range of information on all aspects of timber decking suitable for individuals, architects, contractors or installers and can assist with decking specification, installation, decking care and maintenance. You can find us listed here on the TDCA website.

The TDCA also operate the DeckMark Quality scheme which GripDeck are accredited to.  The scheme is a quality assurance scheme.  We are audited annually and our certification is renewed every 12 months by an independent inspector appointed by the TDCA.

We have just had our annual audit and our anti-slip decking, Stadia Strips & Retrogrip products meet the requirements of the DeckMark® Plus quality assurance and performance scheme. Our certificates for both our TDCA membership and DeckMark+ can be found on our resources page.
