Hardwood Anti-Slip Decking for Travelodge Lakeside

GripDeck® hardwood anti-slip decking was supplied for a Travelodge lakeside project where a premium timber surface was required for external pedestrian areas.

The project required decking that would provide long-term durability, improved slip resistance and a high-quality natural timber appearance suitable for a commercial hospitality environment.

Project focus: Supplying hardwood GripDeck® with factory-applied anti-slip inserts for an exposed commercial decking area beside water.

The Challenge

External decking in hospitality and waterside environments is exposed to changing weather, moisture, regular pedestrian traffic and daily use by guests, staff and visitors.

The decking needed to provide a robust and attractive finish while helping reduce slip risk in wet and exposed conditions. A durable hardwood solution was selected to provide a premium appearance and strong long-term performance.

The Solution

GripDeck® supplied hardwood anti-slip decking with factory-applied anti-slip inserts. Hardwood GripDeck® is manufactured to project requirements and can be produced in a range of timber species, board sizes and insert layouts.

The factory-applied inserts provide reliable grip underfoot while allowing the hardwood decking to retain its natural appearance. For commercial environments such as hotels, restaurants, leisure sites and waterside developments, hardwood GripDeck® offers a strong balance of appearance, durability and safety.

The Result

The completed decking provides a durable, attractive and practical external surface suitable for a commercial lakeside environment.

The hardwood timber gives the area a premium natural appearance, while the factory-applied anti-slip inserts help provide improved grip in wet and exposed conditions.

This project demonstrates how GripDeck® hardwood anti-slip decking can be used successfully on hospitality, leisure and waterside projects where appearance, durability and slip resistance are all important.
